data-end=\"523\">The Class Rating Instructor Multi Engine (CRI-ME) course at Wings over Holland is designed for experienced pilots who wish to become instructors on multi-engine aircraft (Multi Engine Piston &#8211; MEP). To participate in this training, a pilot must have at least a PPL (Private Pilot License), 500 flight hours on fixed wing aircraft, of which at least 30 hours as captain (PIC) on a MEP aircraft. In addition, a valid medical examination and an active MEP rating are required.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"525\" data-end=\"1106\">The CRI-ME course combines both practice and theory. The practical component includes a minimum of 5 hours of flight training on a DA-42 Twinstar, in which the candidate learns to instruct in both normal and emergency procedures on multi-engine aircraft. Theory training is a minimum of 10 hours, with pilots without Flight Instructor (FI) authority required to take an additional 25 theory lessons. The theoretical knowledge is integrated into the practical lessons so that trainee instructors are optimally prepared for their role as trainers within the MEP class.   <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1108\" data-end=\"1753\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Completion of Class Rating Instructor Multi Engine training is followed by a practical exam consisting of an approximately 1-hour flight under the supervision of an examiner. This training is essential for pilots who want to advance their careers and guide others in the safe and efficient operation of multi-engine aircraft. With a CRI-ME rating, instructors can provide training for MEP-class ratings, offer in-service and retraining, and prepare pilots for their pro check.
